Pricing, in the open

What a website actually costs in Bulgaria, and why nobody will tell you.

Ask three agencies for a five-page site and you will get quotes from 800 to 4,500 EUR for what sounds like the same thing. Here are the real market ranges, what moves the number, and our own prices, published rather than quoted on a call.

Almost every Bulgarian web agency answers the price question the same way: "it depends, let us get on a call." It does depend. But that answer also happens to keep you from comparing anything before you are in a sales conversation, which is convenient for the agency and useless to you.

Why prices are hidden

Three honest reasons, and one less honest one.

The honest ones: scope genuinely varies enormously, the same words mean different things to different studios, and a fixed number published without context gets used against them by clients who wanted something four times larger. The less honest one: a hidden price means the quote can be shaped by what the buyer looks able to pay.

What the market actually charges

Two Bulgarian sources published in 2026, both quoting in euro after the January changeover, both giving specific bands. They do not agree, which is the most useful thing about them.

Published Bulgarian ranges, 2026. The corporate band runs 800-4,500 EUR because two credible sources put the floor in completely different places. Our own pricing marked in orange.

The corporate row is where it gets interesting. One source puts custom corporate work at 1,500-4,500 EUR and is explicit that below roughly 1,500 you are buying a theme rather than a design. The other puts corporate sites at 800-1,800 EUR. Both are describing "a company website". Neither is wrong. They are describing different products with the same name.

The line that matters
The meaningful split is not page count. It is whether the design is yours or shared with several thousand other sites. Template work clusters at 400-1,200 EUR. Genuinely custom design starts around 1,500 in one source's view. Everything else is detail.

What actually moves the price

  • Custom design versus a theme. The single biggest factor, and the one most quotes are vaguest about. Ask directly.
  • Who writes the words. Copy is 20-40 hours of work and most quotes exclude it. If it is not named in the quote, you are writing it.
  • Number of unique templates, not pages. Twenty pages sharing three layouts is cheaper than five pages that each look different.
  • Integrations. Payments, Econt, Speedy, CRM, email marketing - each one adds development and testing hours.
  • Motion and interaction. Scroll effects and animation are design and build time, not a checkbox.
  • Tracking set up properly. GA4 and conversion tracking that actually fires is a real task, and it is where cheap builds quietly skip.
Have a quote in hand and want a second opinion?

Send it over. We will tell you what is missing from it and whether the number is fair for what is described. No pitch. We do this because most quotes leave out copy and tracking, and you deserve to know that before signing rather than after.

The costs that never appear in the quote

The build price is not the cost of having a website. These are the recurring items both sources list, and they are the ones that surprise people:

  • Domain - roughly 10-30 EUR a year.
  • Hosting - 5-50 EUR a month depending on what you are running.
  • Maintenance and support - 25-200 EUR a month if you want someone on call. Optional, but "optional" stops being true the first time something breaks.
  • Content - 20-40 hours of writing if it is not in the quote. That is the hidden one that hurts, because it lands on you at exactly the moment you thought you were finished.

What we charge, and where that sits

Published rather than quoted, so you can compare us against the ranges above without a call.

  • Spark - 690 EUR. One page, custom design, copy written for you. Sits in the upper half of the one-pager band, above template pricing, because it is not a template.
  • Standout - 1,290 EUR. Up to five pages, custom design, motion, copy, tracking. This is deliberately below the 1,500 EUR floor one source puts on custom corporate work.
  • Showpiece - 1,990 EUR. Up to eight pages plus landing pages, full brand kit, click maps. Lower end of the corporate band despite being the largest thing we build.

The positioning is straightforward and we would rather say it plainly than imply it: at 1,290 EUR you are buying custom design at roughly what the market charges for a theme, with the copy included instead of billed later. That is the whole pitch. If someone quotes you 800 for custom design with copy, take it.

Comparing two quotes properly

Six questions. They take a minute each and they explain almost every price gap you will encounter.

  1. Is the design custom or a purchased theme? If the answer is soft, it is a theme.
  2. Who writes the copy, and is it in this price? The most common exclusion by a wide margin.
  3. How many unique layouts, as opposed to how many pages?
  4. Is analytics and conversion tracking included and tested?
  5. What happens after launch - how long are changes included, and what does support cost after that?
  6. Who owns the code, the domain and the accounts? If the answer is not "you", the price is irrelevant.

A cheaper quote that answers these well is a better buy than an expensive one that does not. The point of publishing our numbers is that you can run this comparison without booking anything.

Questions

Published 2026 Bulgarian sources put one-page sites at roughly 150-1,200 EUR, template-based sites at 400-1,200 EUR, corporate sites anywhere from 800 to 4,500 EUR depending on whether the design is custom, and online stores at 1,500-9,000 EUR. The wide corporate band reflects genuine disagreement about what a corporate site includes.

Almost always because one includes custom design and copy while the other is a purchased theme with your text dropped in. Page count barely matters. The number of unique layouts and who writes the words matter enormously.

Usually not, and it is rarely stated. Copy is 20-40 hours of work. If the quote does not name it, assume you are writing it, and price that time into your comparison.

Domain about 10-30 EUR a year, hosting 5-50 EUR a month, and optional support 25-200 EUR a month. Budget at least 100 EUR a year even for a small site with no support contract.

Yes. Spark is 690 EUR, Standout 1,290 EUR and Showpiece 1,990 EUR, all with custom design and copy included. They are on this page and on our web page so you can compare before speaking to anyone.
